Description
Description
The Linshang LS239 car paint thickness gauge measures coatings on steel and aluminum panels from 0 to 5000 µm. It combines an integrated ruby-tipped probe with vehicle records and Bluetooth reporting for used-car inspection and bodywork assessment.
Choose a simple check or a vehicle record
Simple mode supports individual readings and stores up to 60 measurements. Expert mode organizes results into 19 component groups, with six measurement points per group and capacity for up to 999 vehicles. This keeps readings associated with their inspection locations when comparing panels around a car.
Bluetooth connects the instrument to the mobile app for recording measurements and generating reports. Adjustable alarm limits and a three-color backlight help distinguish readings against the limits selected for the inspection. While connected to the app or WeChat Mini Program, the instrument uses simple mode with alarms disabled; disconnecting restores the selected measurement mode.

Recognize the substrate before comparing paint
The gauge automatically distinguishes steel and aluminum and can indicate galvanized iron, ferrous putty and non-metal substrates. Thickness measurement applies to suitable metal substrates; a non-metal indication does not provide a paint-thickness reading on plastic or carbon fiber.

Before a vehicle inspection
Perform the appropriate zero adjustment when first using the gauge or when the substrate or measurement conditions change. Compare readings across suitable panels together with the substrate indications; a thickness reading alone does not establish a vehicle's repair history.
