Compare the reading, not just the headline range

  • Material settings: Check that the instrument supports your material and sample form. A general material list does not establish suitability for every mixture or product.
  • Measurement access: Choose surface contact or a probe arrangement that reaches the intended sample. Probe length alone does not establish accuracy.
  • Range and accuracy: Read the conditions attached to each specification. Display resolution, measuring range and stated accuracy are different values.
  • Result interpretation: Confirm what the displayed scale represents and how to check it against your required method. A screening reading alone does not establish that a floor, bale or production batch meets an acceptance limit.
