Description

The Linshang LS175 large aperture colorimeter uses a 20 mm measuring area for color checks on textiles, leather, fabric swatches and other textured materials. Its 45/0 optical geometry and 3.5-inch touchscreen provide on-device measurement and color difference comparison.

Choose a representative 20 mm sample area

The larger aperture collects color information over a broader area than an 8 mm aperture. The sample needs to cover that area fully and remain consistently presented against the meter. Choose a representative section of the material rather than a fold, edge or isolated mark when comparing samples.

The 45-degree annular illumination and 0-degree viewing geometry are part of the measurement conditions. Keep sample orientation, measuring location and preparation consistent through a comparison series. A large aperture helps with a broader area, but does not make every uneven or patterned surface equivalent.

Compare references and set your own tolerance

Scan a standard and a test sample on the touchscreen, select a supported color difference formula and set the tolerance for QC pass/fail decisions. Lab deviation indications show the direction of the difference. Stored references and electronic color charts support repeated checks and nearby-code lookup.

Chart codes and on-screen swatches remain references, rather than guaranteed physical matches or paint formulas. Use the numerical comparison together with the actual material sample.

Calibration and connected data review

Calibrate with the white tile in the bottom cap and keep it free from contamination. Recalibrate after extended storage. Use a clean measuring area with stable contact, and keep the sample presentation consistent even when inspecting a textured material.

The LSColor app connects through Bluetooth, while Windows PC software connects by USB for comparison records, export and reports. Basic measurements and comparisons work directly on the touchscreen. The stated repeatability applies to the listed white-tile test and is not a universal accuracy guarantee for all textiles or finishes.
