Measure methane at the instrument inlet with this portable methane gas detector. The MH-1200H-S-CH4 uses a catalytic combustion sensor and diffusion sampling to display CH4 concentration over a 0-100% LEL range. Choose either the Standard or High Performance sensor configuration when ordering.
CH4 Measurement and Sensor Selection
Both performance options use the same 0-100% LEL methane measurement span. Standard is the conventional catalytic configuration; High Performance uses a poisoning-resistant catalytic sensor. The Standard configuration is not recommended for diesel or acetylene environments. Select the sensor option that matches the gases and conditions in your monitoring procedure, and follow the instrument instructions for calibration and pre-use checks.
This configuration uses diffusion sampling at the sensor inlet. Keep the inlet exposed to the air being checked. The rear clip provides a carrying point during inspection rounds, and the protective cover surrounds the compact housing.
Readings, Alarm Settings and Stored Events
The 128 x 64 monochrome LCD shows gas information and concentration. Adjustable backlight timing lets you set the display illumination through the controls; the backlight also activates automatically during an alarm. Sound, light and vibration provide alarm indications, with an 85 dB audible alarm and configurable set points. The detector stores 100 alarm records for review on its screen.

Controls and Carrying Details
Zero calibration, self-calibration, battery status checks and a factory reset function are available through the instrument controls. Set up and check the instrument according to its instructions and the requirements of your methane monitoring procedure.
A rechargeable 2300 mAh lithium-polymer battery powers the detector. The housing measures 131 x 83 x 35 mm, and the instrument weighs approximately 240 g including its protective cover. When Will My Order Ship?
For Standard Shipping, we aim to pack and ship out your order within 4 business days. During special periods, such as heavy order processing or local inventory shortages that require deployment, please expect it to take an additional day or two for processing. We ship five days a week, Monday through Friday.

Can I Change The Shipping Address On My Order?

My first impression after opening and installing batteries was that this meter is very well built considering the price and manufacturer. I had read some reviews stating that it's amp measurements were not accurate below 5 amps, I haven't seen any issues in any measurements I've taken, even side by side with my fluke meters. I've successfully taken accurate amp, voltage and continuity measurements with this ETCR6920B, the display is nice and legible. I haven't tried storing data and making transfers to a PC yet, the soft case is good enough for storage on a shelf and the test leads are of good quality and rated for 1000v. There's nothing bad to say about this meter especially when you consider the price, it's a really great meter.
