Check color differences on prints, labels and packaging with the Linshang LS372 printing colorimeter. A 4mm aperture targets small color areas, while the D50 reference and 2-degree observer suit a print-focused measurement workflow. The upright handheld body and 3.5-inch touchscreen make reference and sample readings accessible at the work surface.
Small-area print checks
The LS372 uses 45/0 optical geometry and takes a reading in approximately one second. Its positioning plate helps locate the aperture over the intended patch. Place the instrument on a clean, flat area with enough uniform color to cover the opening, and use consistent sample backing and placement for comparisons.
Read CIE Lab, LCh, Luv and Yxy coordinates, or choose other available outputs such as RGB and CMYK. Spectral reflectance is displayed from 400 to 700nm at 10nm intervals. Several color-difference formulas are available, including ΔE*ab and ΔE00.
Reference-based quality control
Measure and save a reference, then compare production samples against it. Set the acceptance threshold to match the job's requirements so the pass/fail indication follows the tolerance selected by your team. A built-in white calibration tile in the protective bottom cap provides the optical calibration reference.
