Description
Description
The MH2000-C2H6 is an ethane gas detector with an infrared sensor and an internal sampling pump. Six range configurations cover ppm, percentage by volume and percentage of the lower explosive limit (% LEL). Select the measurement range and unit when ordering to match the ethane concentration you need to measure.
Select an Ethane Measurement Range
The ppm configurations measure from 0-5000 ppm or 0-10000 ppm. Volume-concentration options are 0-5% Vol, 0-50% Vol and 0-100% Vol. A separate 0-100% LEL configuration is available for measurements expressed relative to ethane's lower explosive limit.
These are separate ordering configurations, rather than six interchangeable ranges on one instrument. Choose the range for the expected concentration and the reporting unit required by your measurement procedure. A ppm or volume reading should not be treated as a directly interchangeable % LEL reading.
Adjustable Pump and Alarm Controls
The internal pump draws a sample into the detector, with ten suction settings and a maximum flow of 1 L/min. Its LCD dot-matrix screen displays gas type, concentration, measurement unit and time. English and Chinese interface options support instrument setup and daily operation.
Two alarm stages have adjustable set points, with sound, light and vibration indications. Temperature and pressure compensation, self-check, zero calibration and factory reset functions are available through the instrument controls. Follow the supplied instructions for calibration, checks and alarm handling, and choose settings appropriate to your ethane-monitoring procedure.

Portable Housing and Package
The rechargeable lithium-polymer battery and engineering-plastic housing support portable use. The instrument measures 205 x 75 x 32 mm and weighs approximately 300 g. Its stated operating conditions are -20 to 50 Degree C and 0-95% RH.
The package includes one ethane detector, a charging/data cable, an instruction manual and an aluminum carrying case. Data logging and PC data export are optional functions and are not included in the base configuration. A cable alone does not enable those options.
Photographs show the shared series housing; demonstration gas labels and screen readings may differ from the supplied C2H6 version. The carrying-case image shows equipment appearance and does not indicate a two-detector package.
