Description
Description
The Linshang LS311 salinity water quality tester provides nine readings in a compact pen-style instrument. It uses UV absorbance for COD, TOC and UV275 readings, together with electrode conductivity for TDS and EC measurements. Water temperature appears alongside the sample results on a 1.14-inch color display.

Compare a set of water indicators
UV-absorbance-based COD and TOC readings provide indicators for sample comparison, while UV275 records absorbance at the specified ultraviolet wavelength. Conductivity and calculated TDS provide complementary information on dissolved ionic content. Automatic temperature compensation supports consistent comparisons between samples.
The LS311 also calculates salinity, general hardness and specific gravity from conductivity. These added displays support suitable seawater and aquaculture sample checks. Select the displayed parameter for the sample and compare it within its stated measuring range.
The instrument's four-color score display summarizes its internal rating for the supported drinking-water measurement mode. Individual numerical readings remain available for comparing samples and tracking changes.

Use the correct sample and calibration setup
Calibrate with distilled water before first use and after extended storage. Clean the probe with water between samples to reduce carryover, and use non-corrosive samples within 0–50°C. Follow the prescribed cleaning method to protect the optical and electrode surfaces. Two AAA alkaline batteries power the tester.
