An amp reading alone does not establish active power. If you need watts or power factor, select a model that documents those functions and the required voltage connections. Confirm whether the instrument and procedure fit your single-phase or three-phase task.

Check these details before choosing

• AC, DC or both, including the range and resolution of each mode.
• The jaw or flexible sensor opening relative to the conductor being measured.
• The documented voltage and measurement-category ratings for the installation.
• Whether inrush capture, data storage or a computer interface is included on the selected model.
