Material Settings and Reading Conditions

Use a material setting that matches the sample and keep that setting, probe placement, and measurement conditions consistent when comparing readings. The 0.1 or 0.01 display resolution does not by itself establish greater accuracy, and one setting should not be treated as universal for every powder or granular material.

DM300C or MS350A?

The DM300C is the closer match when its named chemical powder, coal powder, dye, or resin groups and multiple settings fit the sample.
