Description
Description
The Linshang LS108D infrared transmission meter measures 850nm IR, 940nm IR and 550nm visible-light transmission through one 0.5 mm aperture. It is designed for inspecting infrared filter windows, remote-control components and small transmission areas such as the infrared ink openings in phone cover glass. The color display presents the selected channel combination for a direct comparison between parts.

Position small optical parts
All three channels share the same test hole, reducing the need to reposition a small sample between wavelengths. An alignment indicator helps locate the measurement point. The 0.5mm aperture is suited to particularly small openings. The related LS108A uses a larger 1mm aperture.
The visible reading is measured at 550nm. Select a three-channel view or a two-channel view combining 550nm with either infrared wavelength to suit the part under inspection.

Record results with USB PC software
A USB Type-C connection links the meter to its PC software for ongoing measurements. The software supports upper and lower QC limits, pass/fail evaluation, measurement counting and pass-rate summaries, helping operators screen batches against their chosen transmission criteria.
For startup calibration, keep the optical path empty until the 100% reference is established. Position the sample over the aperture without blocking the light path elsewhere. Use consistent orientation when comparing coated or patterned parts. The accuracy specification applies to colorless, uniform transparent materials within 0–90% transmission.
