Description
Description
Build a coating-thickness inspection setup around the Linshang LS227 touchscreen main unit and a probe suited to the workpiece. Each configuration on this page pairs one LS227 main unit with the single probe named in the selected option. Additional probes and test stands are separate options.
Choose the probe for the coating and geometry
Ferrous probes measure non-magnetic coatings on ferromagnetic metal. Non-ferrous probes measure non-conductive coatings on non-ferromagnetic metal. Dual-substrate probes support both combinations. The connected probe determines the measuring range, access geometry and accuracy.
| Probe option | Range | Substrate and shape |
|---|---|---|
| F600-X0 | 0–600 µm | Ferrous; Straight, small tip |
| NF1600-X0 | 0–1600 µm | Non-ferrous; Straight, small tip |
| FNF2000-X0 | 0–2000 µm | Ferrous and non-ferrous; Straight |
| FNF5000-X0 | 0–5000 µm | Ferrous and non-ferrous; Straight |
| FNF20000-X0 | 10–20000 µm | Ferrous and non-ferrous; Wide-range straight |
| FNF2000-X1 | 0–2000 µm | Ferrous and non-ferrous; 90 Degree right-angle |
| F2000-X2 | 0–2000 µm | Ferrous; 90 Degree long-rod |
| NF2000-X2 | 0–2000 µm | Non-ferrous; 90 Degree long-rod |
The NF1600-X0 range is 0–1600 µm. The FNF20000-X0 starts at 10 µm and is intended for thicker coatings; its 20000 µm upper limit does not apply to the other probe options.

Touchscreen QC and grouped inspection records
The 3.5-inch touchscreen displays readings together with maximum, minimum, average and standard deviation. Configure QC thickness limits for acceptance checks and organize measurements by workpiece or batch. Storage supports up to 100 groups and 10000 records in total across all groups.
Zero adjustment and one- to five-point calibration are supported. The following accuracy specifications require five-point calibration; H is the reference thickness.
| Probe | Accuracy after five-point calibration | Interval |
|---|---|---|
| F600-X0 | ±(2%H + 0.3 µm) | 1.5 s single; 0.4 s continuous |
| NF1600-X0 | ±(2%H + 0.3 µm) | 0.4 s |
| FNF2000-X0 | H < 1000 µm: ±(2%H + 1 µm); H ≥ 1000 µm: ±3%H | 0.8 s |
| FNF5000-X0 | H < 1000 µm: ±(2%H + 1 µm); 1000 ≤ H < 3000 µm: ±3%H; H ≥ 3000 µm: ±5%H | 0.8 s |
| FNF20000-X0 | H < 15000 µm: ±(3%H + 2 µm); H ≥ 15000 µm: ±5%H | 0.8 s |
| FNF2000-X1 | H < 1000 µm: ±(2%H + 1 µm); H ≥ 1000 µm: ±3%H | 0.8 s |
| F2000-X2 | H < 1000 µm: ±(2%H + 1 µm); H ≥ 1000 µm: ±3%H | 0.6 s |
| NF2000-X2 | H < 1000 µm: ±(2%H + 1 µm); H ≥ 1000 µm: ±3%H | 0.4 s |

Main unit and data connections
| Display | 3.5-inch touchscreen; 480 x 320 IPS color display |
|---|---|
| Battery | 3.7 V, 4000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery |
| Main unit dimensions | 141 x 71 x 22 mm |
| Main unit weight | Approximately 200 g including battery; probe weight is additional |
| Units | µm / mm / mil |
| Zinc coating mass display | g/m² available only with F600-X0 or F2000-X2, using zinc density 7.13 g/cm³ |
| Mobile connection | Bluetooth; UT and HL app for Android; iOS is not supported |
| PC connection | USB; Windows software for measurement, record retrieval and Excel export |
While connected to the mobile app, the instrument shows the current measurement and does not save readings locally. Use the appropriate recording workflow for the inspection. When choosing a probe, also check its minimum substrate thickness, curvature limits and access requirements against the part.
