Description
The Linshang LS256 UCI ultrasonic hardness tester measures metal hardness using the ultrasonic contact impedance method. Its integrated handheld body and 20N test force suit localized checks on machined parts, hardened layers, metal coatings and plated surfaces when the specimen and support arrangement meet the test requirements. The method produces a small indentation at the test point.
Prepare a stable test position
Use the supplied contact supports to position the instrument for flat surfaces or suitably accessible shaped parts. A specimen of at least 300g and 5mm thickness can be tested directly under the prescribed conditions. Lighter or thinner pieces require coupling to a firm support.
Keep the indenter perpendicular to a clean surface and apply steady, continuous force through the full measuring travel. A dedicated hand-pressure stand is available separately. The published accuracy and repeatability figures are specified under probe-fixture stand testing conditions.
Record measurements on site
The display presents the selected hardness scale, with built-in material settings and user calibration to support repeatable comparisons. Up to nine results are stored locally. Bluetooth connects the tester to the UT and HL Android app for additional storage, viewing and sharing.
A USB Type-C connection charges the internal 3.7V 1000mAh battery. The standard set includes the tester, USB cable and reference hardness block. Select the material and matching scale before inspection, and verify calibration with an appropriate reference.
