Choose a UV power meter by its spectral response and the light source you need to measure. A meter built for one UV band or lamp type is not automatically suitable for another.
Power reading or accumulated energy?
Result needed
What to compare
Irradiance at the sensor
The supported UV band and instantaneous reading, commonly expressed in units such as mW/cm²
Radiant exposure during a process
Whether the model integrates irradiance over time and reports energy per area, such as mJ/cm²
Transmission or blocking comparison
Whether the meter and method support consistent before/after measurements for the specific sample and source

LS123 UV power meter for its documented UV measurement and comparison functions.
Check the exact model's response band, supported source, measurement range and recording method before comparing prices. These models address different tasks; they are not interchangeable substitutes.
Before you select a meter
Identify the lamp or LED spectrum, not only its advertised wattage.
Check the sensor range against the expected irradiance at the measurement location.
Decide whether you need a current value, accumulated exposure or a saved measurement record.
Keep the measurement distance, orientation and process timing consistent with your procedure.
A UV reading describes the measured light under the stated conditions. It does not, by itself, establish a process's curing quality or disinfection effectiveness.
